The
Department of Computer Science at NC State University is a member of The
Computing Research Association (CRA).
The
National Security Agency (NSA) has named North Carolina State
University a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance
Education, a designation that adds NC State to a select group of universities
across the nation. Information assurance education plays a key role
in protecting the national information infrastructure. This designation
recognizes the NC State's increasing role in education and research
