Ms. Heil is Associate Director for the CSC Senior Design Center. She assists students with team formation and development, project management, interpersonal communication, written documentation, and oral technical presentations. Ms. Heil acts as a liaison between students and either the Director and/or industrial sponsors of the Center. Her professional experience ranges from proofreading/editing scientific documentation to toxicology study coordination to system analysis and project management. Ms. Heil earned her undergraduate degree in Biology and English Literature from McGill University (Montreal Canada) and a Masters degree from NCSU in Technical Communication. She also has a Team Specialist Certification from NCSU's Industrial Extension Service. Ms. Heil has two sons, one who is a senior at NC State and the other who is a senior at Enloe High School. In her spare time, Ms. Heil manages her own business and serves as the merit badge counselor coordinator for Boy Scouts of America Troop 214 and as a vocal soloist at the Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Raleigh.
