  1. Outreach Vision
  2. Credit courses offered on-site at a company's location. For the convenience of employees, a computer science instructor travels to an off-campus location that the employer provides. Upon completing the course satisfactorily, the student receives a grade and credit which may be used toward an NC State degree or certificate. (In Cooperation with Lifelong Education).
  3. Credit courses offered at a public site in the Research Triangle Park. These courses are offered for the convenience of all employees working in RTP. Upon completing the course satisfactorily, the student receives a grade and credit which may be used toward an NC State degree or certificate. (In Cooperation with Lifelong Education).
  4. Non-credit, skill-oriented, short courses are offered at NC State in the summer. For example, in the summer of 1996, short courses were offered on the Java Programming Language, and How to Use the Internet. Students receive continuing education credit but not NCSU credit toward a degree. (In cooperation with College of Engineering Industrial Extension Service).
